Dr Gasic completed his training in highly regarded academic institutions, and has experience in gastroenterology and liver diseases for more than 17 years.  He is a strong advocate of primary prevention of diseases.  He takes a global approach to patient assessments while focusing on issues relevant to his subspecialty of medicine.  He has an easygoing personality and enjoys his work.  His main interests are:

Dr. Gasic has recent publications on research work in Chronic Active Hepatitis C.  He is currently conducting studies in collaboration with DCOL Research Center (www.DCOLresearch.com) on chronic idiopathic constipation, opiod induced constipation, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory induced (NSAID) induced ulcer disease.  Some of these studies are still open for enrollment.  Please contact us for an updated list of studies. 

Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art Pillcam endoscopy, which allows us to use a capsule containing a camera to evaluate the small intestine in individuals who have chronic blood loss yet normal studies of the colon and upper GI tract (esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine, duodenum), celiac sprue and other disorders of the small intestine.
